The airport is about 30 minutes from Kimberley, an hour from Fernie, and about 3 hours from Nelson or Rossland. Fancy a road trip? Nelson and Rossland are about an eight hour drive from either Vancouver or Calgary; Fernie is just three hours from Calgary. Revelstoke, on the Trans-Canada Highway, is about five hours from Calgary, or six from Vancouver.
